MBChB, BSc Hons Neuro, Associate Member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, Member of Association of Scottish Aesthetic Practitioners, Advisory Member of HealthCare Improvement Scotland.
One of Scotland’s more experienced Aesthetic Doctors, International speaker and author in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Nestor holds regular fortnightly clinics at London’s multi-award winning PHI Clinic. He is a UK and international trainer for non surgical facial lifting procedures.
Dr Nestor obtained his Medical Degree and Honours Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh in 2006.
Upon completing his junior doctor years he pursued a surgical career, gaining experience from several surgical specialties predominantly Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Alongside this he entered Aesthetic Medicine which became his passion and ambition. His focus is developing this specialty in Scotland as well as safeguarding patients by taking an active role in Scottish Health Board Regulations surrounding treatments.
With a wealth of experience in Cosmetic Medicine, as well as a passion for this specialty, Dr Nestor opened The Medical Cosmetic Centre in April 2016 in the city centre of Edinburgh to address facial ageing, skin health, hair loss and body concerns, equally for women and men. Within the first year, The Medical Cosmetic Centre Won Best New Clinic in Scotland at the Scottish Medical Aesthetic Awards and Dr Nestor was honoured with Highly Commended Doctor.
Dr Nestor has dedicated his career to Aesthetic Medicine and patient care, training with some of the UK’s most eminent surgeons and doctors. He identified a need for Hair Restoration services in Scotland, carried out by a local doctor, in the heart of Edinburgh. He strongly believes that patient aftercare is pivotal to a successful treatment and therefore monitors all his patients very closely.
On a very personal note, I was keen on hair transplant surgery for myself. Living in Scotland I found that my options were limited. Despite spending a very long time looking for a clinic where I could attend, speak to the operating surgeon and ensure that they would be the one responsible for my aftercare and progress, I could not find one.
My options were to have the procedure out of Scotland. This isn’t to say that there aren’t fantastic surgeons down south, but that they would not be my main point of contact before and after the procedure.
As a doctor, continuity of care is very important to me. I felt that this is something that should be offered here in Scotland. For this reason I have set up Dr Nestor’s Hair Clinic to be able to provide exceptional hair restoration treatments and aftercare in the heart of Edinburgh.
I provide free consultations to discuss your concerns around hair thinning and loss, and advise on treatment options specifically for you. We also discuss realistic outcomes and results, allowing you to make a fully informed decision on what is right for you.
Just as importantly, should you decide to go ahead with the procedure, I will be there every step of the way, performing the procedure with a dedicated team of highly experienced technicians, and all of your aftercare appointments will be here in clinic, with me.
I appreciate that hair loss can affect our self confidence and mood. Deciding to undergo a procedure such as this is, a big step. I am dedicated to taking this journey with you, from beginning to end.
